A short, plain statement instead of a long one written by lawyers. Last updated 15 August 2026.
goatbit.net has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising scripts, and no cookies set by us. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected.
Our host records ordinary web server logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) for a short period to keep the site running and to defend against abuse. We don't read them for marketing and we don't join them to anything else.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads. If you'd prefer we self-host them instead, say so and we will.
Dead Internet runs on your own machine. It has no GoatBit account system, no telemetry, and no phone-home. Your simulations, instruction sets, and generated content stay in local storage on your computer.
The one exception is the model provider you choose. If you point it at a hosted API such as OpenAI, the prompts and generated text go to that provider under their terms — not to us. Running against a local model like Ollama or LM Studio keeps everything on your machine.
We cannot see your simulations, and we could not hand them over if asked, because we never receive them.
When you email us, we keep the message so we can answer it and follow up if the same issue comes back. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't share your address with anyone.
Ask us to delete your correspondence at any time and we will.
Questions about any of this go to site@goatbit.net. If this statement ever changes, the change gets an entry in the changelog.
