Changelog

What changed, and when.

Releases, pauses, and course corrections — posted here rather than only on social, so there's a record that doesn't scroll away.

Dates before this year are approximate — they're reconstructed from archived copies of the old site, which didn't keep a changelog.

Site

goatbit.net rebuilt

A full rebuild of the studio site around a smaller, more honest set of claims.

  • Dead Internet is now the single featured project, with its own detail page
  • ClockIn removed — the project is discontinued
  • HerdHub moved to an 'in the works' note rather than a live product listing
  • Light and dark themes, with the preference remembered between visits
  • New contact page with direct email routes instead of a form
Studio

HerdHub paused

HerdHub is on hiatus rather than cancelled. We'd rather say that plainly than leave a stale product page implying active development. If it resumes, it will be announced here first.

Dead Internet

Public documentation

Installation steps, model provider requirements, and an FAQ now live on the Dead Internet page, so you can see what the tool does before downloading anything.

Dead Internet

Dead Internet released

The LLM-powered social media simulator shipped and became the studio's first available product, listed as 'Available Now' alongside its own detail page. It runs locally and works against OpenAI, Ollama, or LM Studio.

Site

First site redesign

The original single-page project list was replaced by the 'Software Development with Purpose' layout: a three-project grid, a proper contact section, and the @goatbitsoftware account added as a second channel.

Studio

goatbit.net goes live

The first version of the site launched — a plain page introducing GoatBit LLC and the intent to work with small developers on tools that maximize utility and minimize greedy business practices.

  • ClockIn announced as coming soon, with clockin.services reserved
  • HerdHub announced as coming soon — offline-first ranch management
  • site@goatbit.net set up as the single point of contact
